Mischa Barton found herself behind bars on Thursday after being arrested for possessing marijuana, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a license and possessing a controlled substance, according to a statement by L.A. Sheriff's spokesman, Sgt. John Hockin.
“During Ms. Barton’s detention, it was determined that she was an unlicensed driver and was driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage,” the statement said.
Sheriff's deputies pulled the actress over shortly before 3 a.m. after they observed her vehicle straddling two lanes of traffic and then make a turn without signaling. She was booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff's Department — originally under the name "Burton"— before being released on $10,000 bail almost eight hours later.
After exiting the police station, the former O.C. star covered herself with a shawl (above) and left in her parents’ car.
2007 has been rife with celebrity DUI busts including Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Michelle Rodriguez, and Kiefer Sutherland, all of whom did time for their crime. Maybe Mischa was just feeling left out?
